Supporting Families with young children in Dorset

DCC has a duty to ensure that there are sufficient early childhood services available across the county, although not responsible for providing them all themselves. This includes information, advice and support around health, money and parenting, as well as childcare and childrenís centres.

There have been a number of changes over the last few years including the introduction of 30 hours free childcare, free childcare for some two-year-olds, as well as the reduction in funding from the Government. DCC is also working more closely with other services - such as health visitors and midwives - to provide support in the places where people go, and know that more families are going online for information and advice.

Itís important that DCC regularly looks at this to make sure they're meeting the needs of local families - particularly those most in need of help.

DCC would be grateful for any interested parties to complete this short questionnaire, which should only take 5 minutes to complete.

A link to the survey can be found here, and will close at midnight on Sunday 14th January, 2018.

Parents or carers who participate have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a £50 high street voucher.
